3 most power men of Nepal

If you have to take 3 names of the most powerful men in Nepal then it would be:

 1. Shambu Thapa
2. Ganesh Thapa
3. Rishi Dhamala

All of these 3 men are very strong in every aspect of their career and skills. They have proved their name and have been successfully and diligent in their professional life.

Shambhu Thapa is the name and fame of the ex-Nepal Bar Association president who is considered one of the best lawyers in Nepal. With high name  and reputation that precedes him where recently in 2013 he was charged with tax embezzlement. Having turnover in millions this law practitioner  escaped taxes with merely paying the minimum amount to the government. His case was later settled on grounds of anonymity as during the time he suffered a heart attack. Still today he is practicing law despite being trailed and proved guilty by the Department of Revenue Investigation (DRI) for evading taxes.

Ganesh Thapa is yet another big name in the Nepal's sports industry. His contribution are beyond words where he was first person to lead and conceptualize All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) in Nepal.  In 2014 he was accused of corruption charges for embezzlement of ANFA Funds and other corruption charges. He escaped the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority with no grounds where his brother Kamala Thapa President of Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal  made him a Constituent Assembly member. With open accounts of large amounts of money being transferred in his personal accounts and being associated with Mohammed Bin Hammam's controversy. He escaped with a smiling face.


Rishi Dhamala a common name in the Nepal's Media Industry. Rishi Dhamala  is the president of the  reporters club, he is well known for his flamboyant personality.
In 2009 Dhamala was charged with possession of arms and ammunition, kidnap and murder. The allegations were  made by the nepal police against Dhamala on the basis of a telephone conversation  of Dhamala with Ramsubhak Mahato. Though a tape was recovered where Dhamala's make the deal but
later all cases were dropped as the case could not be built on a recording. Dhamala has also claimed that the recorded voice was not his. Courts did not accept cassettes as a form of evidence. He is considered one of the most powerful media person who can and has the power to reach any politician or leader anywhere and anytime.

These three leaders of Nepal certainly represent the image of the industry that they represent  but on the same they also represent  image of power, manipulation and corruption in Nepal. One thing that is common among all these three men is they are all politically very active and are the part of the system.
