It has been 2 years after the devastating earthquake of 7.9 Richter scale that took the lives of 9000 people and injured nearly 22,000 by surprise. To everyone's amazement I feel ashamed that Nepal government has not been able to start the development and reconstruction process at-large. Due to lack of proper leadership and strategy the overall issue of management has been politicized and corrupted in every effort of making it inefficient and slow where the victims are facing the problems and issues.
The resources are there, the infrastructure is there and most importantly the money but nothing is happening. Nobody knows why and nobody has the answer.
The question that has been raised is when the Nepal government, the parliament and the political parties have shown their 100% commitment then why nothing has been done at ground zero.
What is went wrong and why the money send has not been distributed ?
Whatever development and reconstruction work has been done is done by the developing agencies and supporting partnering agencies which are working for the cause.
People are still living in open sky and waiting for their funds for rebuilding their homes, Schools have been destroyed and are endless waiting for their turn for support.
The carelessness shown by the Nepal Government has made most of the donors step out of the contribution as promised and are channelizing their donation money through the developing agencies and rest is history.
From the day of the Earthquake in Nepal, the leadership in Nepal failed to address the priorities, they were not able to manage anything. In fact reality is if the youth volunteers had not stepped in the country would have been an example of a bad disaster gone crazy.
The Nepal Government even hosted a conference for bringing in more financial support for rebuilding the country but sadly nothing is being done.
Even the grains send for distribution to victim by Bangladesh and other supplies like electrical gas stove which were sent for relief has been sold to public but no has not been distributed to public. The money raised has been deposited in the Prime Minister Relief fund but what's the use........
