Legal Corruption in the name of Politics: Ex-President's Decision for foreign medical service questions Nepal's Health industry

Ex-president of Nepal, Dr. Ram Baran Yadav has been Granted 6 million for US treatment for his prostate Gland in USA by Nepal Government.
The cabinet meeting also endorsed to pay for the business class tickets with a USD 300 daily allowance and would also provide three aides with a daily allowance of USD 150 and their tickets.
Even in the past the Nepal Government provided Rs 1 million to for medical checkup in India, during which his prostate cancer was detected. In 2013, while he was a sitting president, Yadav had gone to Japan for a medical check-up.
Nepal is a least developed country, where majority of its population are deprived of basic human rights. In a state after the earthquake when most of the country's infrastructure is suffering for reconstruction process, the Nepal Government granting people's tax money for the ex-president’s medical service is a question of morality and ethics.

Apart from that Yadav has been regularly drawing his salaries and benefit, and in a country that is poor and has limited resources, politicians and leaders like Yadav is a great burden to the country’s financially position.

It also highlights the weak political culture and how political leaders are manipulating the system to harvest legal corruption in the name of political service.

It is really shameful that a person of such leadership Yadav even applied for financial aid when he is already drawing regular money from the government.
The national Daily reublica reported that, "Doctors in Nepal claim that the prostate cancer seen in the ex-president Yadav is quite common and can be treated in the country. The septuagenarian former president, who himself is a doctor by training and also a former health minister, is quite aware about his ailment. Prostate cancer is a disease that only affects men. Doctors say that prostate cancer starts with tiny alterations in the shape and size of prostate gland cells- Prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PIN). They claim that nearly 50 percent of all men 50 years and older have PIN. Both diagnosis and treatment of the ailment that afflicts the ex- President Yadav is possible in Nepal. Dr Robin Joshi, a consultant Uro-Oncologist serving at Norvic Hospital, claimed. He said that several hospitals and medical colleges have been providing surgery to treat prostate cancer. I am ready to offer services to him and I am capable enough to provide him best treatment."

It is a sad reality that a man of such position has a weak mentality that he does not trust Nepal’s medical services and industry. In most recent practice most of the political leaders prefer for foreign medical treatment instead of country’s own.
I think looking at his position the Nepal government should be giving medical services free with in the country only. Sending him abroad that too with allowance shows the weak public governance.

It is very dissatisfying that leaders like these have been draining public tax money in the name of medical services and facilities where still in the rural people are suffering the consequences of earthquake. Just think with 6 million how many schools could have been repaired and how many health post could have been supported.

I being a Lawful citizen and tax payer of Nepal Condemn the Nepal Government’s decision.
