Giving a blow to the past demonetization of Indian money, Nepal Government has taken a strong step in giving a punch to the Indian currency.
The Nepal government has banned the use of high denomination Indian Currency notes and use only IRS 100 in Nepal.
According to government’s spokesperson and Minister for Information and Communications Gokul Prasad Baskota, " The government has refrain from keeping or carrying Indian bank notes higher than 100 notes as the government has not legalised the Indian bank notes of denomination Rs 200, Rs 500 and Rs 2000"
This has come in action after billions of Indian currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 have been stranded in Nepal after the Modi Indian government launched the demonetization in Indian in 2016.
During the modi's visit the Nepal government had talked about the issue of changing the stranded note of Nepal but the Modi's government kept its silence with no words.
