There are so many reasons why you should not travel to Nepal, as after the earthquake the country is turned into a huge rubble of debris and piles of waste. It may look like a city but giving a close look things have change dramatically. One may imagine the psychological state but things are completely on the verge of post dramatic stress here. Everything is affect from people attitude to living standard.
Due to lack of management and urbanization the city was always a threat to public lives where the earthquake added fury to its problem. Who knew the world heritage sites that crowned the world would be completely destroyed.
The petite streets that wriggled inside the old cities turned into this state where currently they are forced with additional pillars and support. The heritage of years would come crashing to the shoulder of painful remembrance that haunted each and every victim who have lost their loved ones.
But one thing the earthquake could not do is, it could not shake the attitude and belief of people. Still today in the morning you can see women entering the temples worshiping the gods and still today people walk by the pillared petite streets and have a smile for the moment that they shared. The gods have no temples but now they live in the hearts of the people where everyday is a celebration.
People still greet you with the same enthusiasm and kids still play in the debris making noise.
The morning charms with the chants and the butter lamps soothes the senses yet again never to fall back to those days.
The buildings may have been turned into ruins but the culture and tradition still thrives in the colorful bliss of rich manifestation which lives on in the practice of various forms. The aspect of will and energy may have been down but its not broken.
The trekking routes are the same, the mountains are the same, the Everest is the same and after this earthquake, Nepal has become more stronger and better in every aspect of what can be seen and felt. It is not about the passion of what you think about Nepal but its about what Nepal has lived up to and why it still strives to be where it is?
There are so many thing that may look un-organized and not managed but for people who love Nepal its the same in every aspect of its culture tradition and adventure.
If you can feel the pain in and around then there is so much lying in the cracked building but if you have the heart then you look at the faces of the Nepali people who still live strong to face the next day.
No matter what, the answers are, I am not a defender of what lies ahead or what happened, I live in the present and I know one thing if you ought to live, you ought to move and make things happening
Yes, for those who love Nepal, it has become more adventurous and powerful in every essence of saving and helping people who need it.
Every person who feels for Nepal and who has supported is a Nepali and to be a Nepali you do not need a Nepali blood, you need a heart and feeling that beats and flows for Nepal.
