The International conference on Nepal Reconstruction (ICNR) has raised around 4 billion of assistance from the donor agencies in the form of foreign aid, donation and loan.It is estimated that 2 billion has been raised as foreign aid and remaining as a long terms loan.
Looking at the current situation when the donors have not been able to trust the Nepal Government the reliability of this conference is very questionable. As if you look at the past practice the most of the donors promised and announced donation during the earthquake but when it came to transferring the money they backed out saying the they has issues with the management of the aid. Most of the donors promised to give the money through their donor agencies which later resulted in showcasing the credibility of Nepal Government in the international area.
No matter what the ICNR proves to be a great success in terms of begging but in reality Nepal is capable of sustainability. Its resources and even its own income sources are well off to manage this crisis situation. The Nepali Political leaders has proved that Nepal stands no where in terms of financial economy but in reality we are more sustainable and it could have been managed in more efficient and effective way without begging.
